The Five Minute Face

I am a true makeup junkie at heart! I wake up early so that I can spend about 15 minutes everyday in front of the mirror to dress my face. However, we all experience instances where we are rushing to be somewhere and the maximum we can spare is five minutes for our bare glow-less face. In this post, I will share the products that I slap on when I am in a hurry.

Recently I have been using:

  • Garnier BB Cream in the shade light
  • Revlon Colorstay concealer in the shade 03 light medium
  • Loreal Infallible 24H Matte Powder in the shade warm vanilla
  • NARS bronzer in the shade Laguna
  • Essence make me brow in the shade 02 browny brows
  • Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara
  • Maybelline Baby Lips in the shade Pink Punch

This BB cream by Garnier is perfect for quick application. I use my fingers to smear this all over my face and it gives me medium coverage. After BB cream, I pop some concealer under my eyes and pat it in using my ring finger. This Revlon Colorstay concealer is pretty heavy duty but does not look cakey at all.

Up till this point I use no brush. However, after concealer I powder my entire face using a big powder brush. It’s extremely hot here, can’t go without powder or else everything would slide off my face. I love this Loreal Infallible powder. Honestly it is the creamiest powder I have ever tried. YES, creamy powder! It has the most comfortable velvety feel to it. It doesn’t look heavy and sets the base perfectly. It is also perfect for the beginners because no matter how much you pack on, it just doesn’t look cakey.

Next, using the same powder brush I use my trusty ol’ NARS laguna along the parameter of my face for some color and healthy glow. Honestly this is the best bronzer for light to medium skin tones. It has slightest sheen to it, which gives a very natural and healthy glow to the skin. The compact is so self explanatory- I use it religiously and absolutely love it!

I then sort out my brows using some sort of brow gel. Recently, I have been loving this Essence make me brow and it’s a dupe for benefit gimme brow. I can’t miss this step since my eyebrows have mind of their own and love floating around if unset. This step is followed by mascara. Usually, I like to take time with mascara- building it up layer by layer. However, when I am in a rush I grab one of my favorite mascaras ever Maybelline’s Lash Sensational and apply just a layer. Sometimes I carry it to the car and apply several coats but it’s rare.

Last, but certainly not the least I sort out my lips. I switch this part a lot. If I am rushing to a causal event or just routine work I usually gravitate towards lip balms. This Maybelline Baby Lips in Pink Punch gives such a nice pink tint to the lips and feel very nourishing. If, I am going to a rather formal evening occasion, I add a darker lip shade.

Not only is this makeup look quick, but is also perfect if you are trying to achieve no-makeup-makeup look.
